Labial frenulum

The labial frenulum is a small band of mucous membrane between the upper and lower incisors and the oral mucosa.

The labial frenulum consists of connective tissue and oral mucosa. The removal of the upper and/or lower labial frenulum is often recommended when closing a tooth gap.
